If it is not linked, that update itself must be done in person. - ALWAYS retain the acknowledgment slip and the Update Request Number. It is the only way to track the request. - Documents produced must be in original for verification; photocopies are retained. - There are prescribed limits on how many times certain fields, such as name and date of birth, may be updated. Where a limit has been exhausted, an exception request through the regional office is required. - DO NOT write your full Aadhaar number on any document that will be publicly filed.
