A document generated on Legal Drive is a draft based on the information you provide. Whether it's legally valid depends on correct execution, for example the right stamp duty, signatures, and witnesses for your state. Documents marked as requiring advocate review should be reviewed by a licensed advocate before you rely on them for anything binding.

What does "verified" mean next to a state?

It means the stamp duty, filing authority, or other state-specific detail shown has been cross-checked against multiple current sources before being published. A state without that badge simply hasn't been researched yet, you can still draft the document, just confirm the figure locally before relying on it.

What's the actual difference between the free and paid download?

The free download is watermarked on every page. The paid clean copy has no watermark, and when real verified state data exists for that document, it includes a Verified Compliance Summary showing the actual researched figure, embedded directly in the file.

How does advocate verification work?

After generating a document, you can request advocate verification for a fee. It's reviewed by a licensed advocate, who can approve it as is or return it with comments.

Can I cancel my Pro subscription?

What's the difference between Attest and Aadhaar eSign?

Attest is Legal Drive's own signing record: it captures your name, IP address, device, and timestamp directly on the platform, and works for any number of signers at no extra charge on paid plans. Aadhaar eSign is a real, government-backed electronic signature carried out through Leegality using Aadhaar-based e-KYC, priced per signer, and legally stronger for documents that need that level of authentication.

Can multiple people on my team share one account?

Yes, on the Business plan. The account owner can add team members who share the plan's document and eSign credits, billed centrally to the owner. Team members don't need their own separate paid plan.

Is my data safe?

Free downloads aren't stored on our servers at all. If you create an account, your saved documents are private and visible only to you, and to any advocate you specifically request a review from. See our privacy policy for more.

Is Legal Drive connected to LegalFirms.in or Lawmaker.in?

Yes, all three are built by Bitola Industries Pvt Ltd. LegalFirms.in is a directory of verified advocates and law firms, and Lawmaker.in is for law students and judiciary exam aspirants.
